Core module

Participant rights and responsibilities
Respect rights, choice, privacy, dignity and the participant’s voice.
Governance and operational management
Show how governance, risk, quality and workforce systems operate.
Provision of supports
Deliver supports safely, consistently and in line with agreements and plans.
Support provision environment
Maintain environments that are safe, accessible and appropriate to the support.
Supplementary modules
Additional modules apply depending on the supports delivered.
High intensity daily personal activities
Additional standards for specified high-intensity support activities.
Specialist behaviour support
Requirements for providers delivering specialist behaviour support.
Implementing behaviour support plans
Requirements for implementing plans, including regulated restrictive practices where relevant.
Early childhood supports
Standards relevant to providers delivering early childhood supports.
Specialised support coordination
Requirements for specialised support coordination services.
Specialist disability accommodation (SDA)
Additional standards relevant to SDA providers.
Supported independent living (SIL)
SIL-specific standards apply from 1 July 2026 alongside relevant core standards.
Verification module
A separate module for lower-risk/lower-complexity supports; it is not a supplementary module.
Human resource management
Worker screening, induction, training and supervision records as applicable.
Risk management
Identify and manage risks relevant to the provider and supports.
Complaints management
Provide accessible ways to raise concerns and record how they are handled.
Incident management
Manage incidents and maintain the required records and response processes.
