Write down the approved registration groups, supports, suburbs or regions served, hours, response time and any limits. Make sure your website and profiles match your certificate and actual capacity.

Explain who you support, what an ordinary first appointment looks like, how referrals work and how participants can raise concerns. Use accessible language and provide phone, email and text options where possible.

Introduce the service to support coordinators, plan managers, local area coordinators and community organisations. Share a short capability profile rather than sending generic mass messages.

Respond and onboard safely
Record consent, confirm funding management, explain prices and cancellations, and use a service agreement before delivery. Keep participant information secure and only collect what you need.
Provider Finder and local visibility
The NDIS guide says registered providers can gain visibility through the Provider Finder. Treat the official listing as one channel, then reinforce it with accurate local profiles, accessible service information and genuine reviews that do not reveal participant information.
Do not describe yourself as registered for a support that is outside your certificate. Registration is national, but your practical service area, workforce and capacity should be stated honestly.

- Can I advertise before my NDIS registration is approved?
- You may describe your business accurately, but an application, audit or pending decision does not make you registered. Do not advertise yourself as a registered provider until the Commission has approved the registration.
