Support work and personal care
Usually a verification-style pathway for a sole trader. The evidence that matters is worker screening, orientation and training records, incident and complaints handling, and clear service agreements.
Cleaning and gardening
Often lighter-touch registration, but insurance currency, safe work method statements, chemical handling and participant-property damage procedures are commonly sampled.
Trades and home modifications
Your Victorian licence sits alongside NDIS registration, not instead of it. Home modification work brings additional evidence around scoping, quoting, sign-off and participant consent.
Allied health
Current Ahpra registration, professional indemnity, supervision arrangements and clinical record-keeping are the backbone of the evidence pack.
Supported independent living
A certification audit with site attendance, plus the Class 0138 rules. The most demanding pathway, and the one where preparation time matters most.
Transport and community participation
Vehicle roadworthiness, driver licensing and insurance, plus participant risk assessments for community activities.

Victorian evidence requirements to get right first
NDIS Worker Screening is a national scheme administered through state units. Victorian workers apply through the Victorian screening unit, and your business must be registered with that unit so clearances can be linked to you. Auditors ask for the register, not just the letters — every risk-assessed role identified, every clearance current and dated.
Occupational licensing is separate again. Electrical work is licensed through Energy Safe Victoria; plumbing and building work through the Victorian Building Authority. A licence must cover the class of work you are quoting, and the certificate you show your auditor must be current at the time of audit.
Health practitioners need current Ahpra registration and professional indemnity cover that correctly reflects whether they practise as an individual, through a company, or as a contractor. Where you work with children, a Victorian Working with Children Check is required in addition to worker screening.
